Stealth addresses

VeilPay uses ERC-5564 stealth addresses: every payment lands at a fresh one-time address that only the recipient can detect (with their viewing key) and spend (with their spending key).

Compliance without custody

Share your viewing key with an auditor and they can see your incoming payments — but they can never spend them. Privacy for the user, visibility for the regulator, no trade-off in between.

Flow

1. Register — generate a spending + viewing keypair in the browser and publish a public meta-address.
2. Pay — the sender derives a one-time stealth address; funds land there unlinkably.
3. Detect & spend — the recipient scans announcements with their viewing key and spends with their spending key.
