12 Chains, One Summer

People see the repo list and go "how." Twelve-plus chains — Avalanche, Stellar, Solana, Cardano/Hydra, Casper, Sui, HashKey, Canton, Fhenix, Circle Arc, Midnight, Tether — in one season. It looks unhinged. It's actually a system.

So here's the honest playbook. No guru energy, just what worked.

1. One idea, many chains

I don't invent 15 unrelated products. I have a handful of obsessions — privacy, agents, payments — and I re-express them wherever a hackathon opens up.

Molfi (private prediction markets) shipped on Avalanche and Stellar. XORR (private money) too. Same thesis, new chain, new primitives to learn. The idea is the constant; the chain is the variable. That's how you go fast without going shallow.

2. Chains are dialects, not languages

Once you've written Solidity, Soroban (Rust), Aiken (Plutus), Daml and Compact, you stop seeing "new chains" and start seeing the same five concepts in different accents: accounts, state, signatures, fees, finality. Learning chain #8 takes a weekend, not a month, because you already know what you're looking for.

3. Ship the honest version

My GHOST Finance repo literally has a STATE_OF_THE_PROJECT.md that says "here's what actually runs today" and a gap analysis for what doesn't. Judges and real users trust that way more than a faked demo. Under-promise in the README, over-deliver in the live build.

4. Let agents carry the boring weight

I'm not typing every line. Hydra Minecraft was built by Claude Fable 5 from one prompt. I use agents for scaffolding, glue, and grunt work, and I spend my human hours on the 20% that's actually hard — the cryptography, the game feel, the "does the escrow survive a stalling opponent" edge cases.

5. Wins are a lagging indicator

The five hackathon wins — Cardano Asia, AlgoBharat (×2), TON India, Protocol Labs — weren't the goal. They're what happens when you show up to everything with a real thesis and ship the honest version. Volume plus taste plus repetition. That's the whole trick.

If you're 20 and staring at all this thinking you're late: you're not. The tools have never been this good, and most people won't put in the reps. Pick an obsession. Ship it on everything. Repeat.
